Magical Unicorn Trifle Recipe

My Magical Unicorn Trifle recipe is made with fairy dust and princess kisses thanks to the Unicorn Magic Snack Pack Pudding Cups included in it. It will also add an extra pop of color and a bit of fun to your magical unicorn birthday party!

INGREDIENTS:

• Unicorn Magic Snack Pack Pudding Cups
• Cake or cupcakes
• Vanilla wafers
• Fruit (I used bananas this time)
• Whipped cream

DIRECTIONS:

• Assemble the Unicorn Trifle recipe by layering cake, fruit (with vanilla wafers lining the edges of this layer), Unicorn Magic Snack Pack Pudding Cups, and whipped cream. Try to keep the layers level.
• Continue layering until you have filled the bowl.
• Top with whipped cream and sprinkle the top with crumbled vanilla wafers.
• Enjoy!

Party Decorations

Another way to play off the unicorn theme is to have fun with the party decor! You can add colorful banners, balloons, streamers, confetti, and unicorn cutouts. I do recommend staying within your theme colors. (Pink and gold is always a winner in my book!) Blue and yellow can be really cute accent colors too with a magical unicorn birthday party.

Pinata

With a bunch of kids to entertain, a pinata is a great way to channel their energy and keep their focus on something you actually want them to destroy…unlike your furniture. If you need the pinata to last longer, make it harder to hit by adding a blindfold and/or moving the pinata up and down as they swing. I have had a pinata last as long as 30 minutes and the kiddos never got tired of stepping up to bat. And after all the fun of whacking, candy and toys showered everywhere…talk about magical! The giggles and screams were adorable!

The best part about it, besides seeing the kids’ ear-to-ear grins, is that the pinata candy and toys double as party favors. Simply have little bags on the side, and they can later leave the party with their claimed treasures. Some ideas for pinata items include candy, bubbles, stamps, stickers, bracelets, and toys.

Photo Booth

A photo booth is a low-maintenance way of adding fun to a party! Not only is it an interactive way for your child to play with their best friends, you can capture those priceless memories on camera! There are several different photography backgrounds that would work well with a magical unicorn birthday party theme, including gold foil, solid pink, blue with clouds, flowers, or even just a simple plain wall in your home. If you want to make your life even easier, let your photo booth backdrop double as a food table or gift table backdrop. Pop in some fun unicorn photo booth props, and the personalities of the kids will emerge!

Tidying and cleaning before the party starts: a no-brainer. Putting a strategy in place in helps avoid clutter and dirt after the party has started: magical! One of the easiest ways to help your party ambiance is having a sign that asks people to remove their shoes. I mean, kiddos’ shoes are caked in mud, snow, or who knows what else!

Join Us Inside Sign

Another helpful sign that I love to use at parties is a “join us inside” sign. Instead of having to answer the door every time someone knocks or rings the doorbell, they can simply let themselves in. If it is a small gathering, perhaps you want to answer the door to each guest, but this sign is a lifesaver if you are having a large event. Also, when there are lots of kids talking excitedly, sometimes it is hard to hear when someone is at the door. This helps avoid the situation where a kid is stuck outside on the doorstep and allows them to walk right into the middle of the magical unicorn birthday party!
