I’m so excited to share this crazy-easy pizza muffins recipe with you! Are you a big pizza fan like we are? My family has recently started the tradition of having Friday Movie Pizza Night together. Piled on the couch, we’re watching whatever kid-friendly show sounds good. We’ve all got a plate of pizza in our laps. Occasionally my husband and I will lean over and help my son take a bite. He’s usually so glued to the show that he forgets to eat. This little tradition has become one of our favorite parts of the week. It’s the perfect, relaxing end to a busy week.
Sometimes we order a pizza, sometimes I make one. And recently I come up with a quick and easy way to make it: pizza muffins. While this new way will not become our every-time pizza recipe, pizza muffins are definitely a fun, fast, and cheap way to shake up the pizza rotation.
Um, P.S. These would also be perfect for a party appetizer. They’re easy finger food and will be a hit!
Pizza Muffins Ingredients
- Crescent dinner rolls dough (my package made 8 muffins–check the packaging to see how many you want to get)
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni
These ingredients are obviously for a traditional pepperoni pizza take, but feel free to shake it up and add whatever toppings you love! To see some other topping combinations my family loves, click here.
Pizza Muffins Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Unroll the crescent dinner rolls dough and separate the triangles.
Spread pizza sauce on the dough.
Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese.
Top with pepperoni.
Starting on the wide side, roll up the crescent triangles.
Fold them into a more round shape while placing them into a muffin tin (ungreased).
Bake them for about 14-15 minutes. Your pizza muffins should be cooked through but soft throughout and starting to golden on the top.
If desired, dip your pizza muffins in extra pizza sauce while eating. Enjoy!
I’d love to know how your pizza muffins turn out and what you think! Please leave a comment below letting me know.
